FAQ

When are the group classes and how many people attend?

You can review the current group class schedule HERE. As I get to know you and your schedule, I will do my best to offer group classes on days and at times that work for as many students as possible. This is something we will discuss in your free consultation.

On average, group classes will have five to ten students in attendance, so you still get some personalized attention. Sometimes, you may even be the only student who registers for a particular class.

Members will also have priority access to classes. This means some classes will only be for members and registration for other classes may be closed early to reserve the last few spots for program members.

What if I don't want to attend group classes, is there a discount?

At the moment, no. However, please let me know exactly what you're looking for in your free consultation and I'll see what I can do.

How does the program work?

Each month, there will be theme with weekly assignments that incorporate all skills. You'll review the monthly material and choose an assignment option that looks interesting to you. After I review your first submission, I'll suggest some options for your next assignments to help you make progress toward your personal goals.

There will always be a variety of questions and supplementary materials so that everyone will find something to benefit them with the time each one has. Both a beginner with an hour to study and an advanced student with only 15 minutes will be able to make progress.

Over time, more mini-courses will be added such as: "Keys to English Mastery", "Perfect Tenses" and the brand new "Making Prepositions Easy Easier". The "Book Club" is already being added to the program. You can choose or I may suggest assignments from or based on any of these as well.

How do I choose an assignment?

Start with the monthly theme. There will be plenty of material for assignments throughout the month.

If you don't want to complete that assignment for any reason, you are free to choose another assignment, review a mini course, or to create your own based on a personal project / objective.

As time goes on, more assignments will be added. You are always welcome to suggest material or a theme that you think would make a good assignment.

When and how will I receive feedback?

In general, you will receive feedback within seven (7) days by email or WhatsApp. Responses are reviewed in the order in which they are received.

Most students will receive both written comments and an audio file regarding corrections, edits, and suggestions. Feedback is personalized to your level, needs, and the assignment you chose.

What to expect is generally discussed during orientation.

Note: Responses that are received late are not guaranteed a review.

What if I decide to cancel?

Please message Paloma directly if you have any concerns or problems with the program itself to they can be corrected if at all possible.

If you still need to cancel, you can cancel via a Stripe Billing Portal or by contacting Paloma before your renewal date.
(There is an easy to find link to the Stripe Billing Portal at the very top of the FAQ page within the membership site.)

Partial refunds are not available but you will continue to have access to all the materials and benefits until your membership expires.

Hello! I'm Paloma, a native English speaker from the US and a five-star ESL teacher. I also speak Spanish fluently, and know a little Arabic and Italian.

Also, I'm a holistic wellness coach, helping people to flourish by building confidence, overcoming fear and anxiety, and establishing healthy habits.

I have a wide variety of interests and love traveling and listening to the stories of people from around the world. Learning about other languages and cultures has been a hobby since I was a small child.

It can be so scary to speak to a native speaker. I've felt that way too. That's why I'm very patient with students and consider listening to be one of the most important teaching tools.

For nearly 30 years, I've been tutoring and teaching in many areas:
